Typical situations for an interim managing director mandate
As an Interim Managing Director, I took full operational responsibility at Klugo (DEVK Group), for example: leading the organization from the top, building robust leadership, role and decision-making structures (MOALs, consent framework) together with management and team, during a demanding transition and stabilization phase following a change in the leadership structure.

A consent-based decision format accelerated decisions at the leadership level and reduced interface conflicts. In addition, I initiated an initial B2B2C partnership with access to around 3,000 corporate clients as a strategic pilot.

Result: an operational organization with a clear steering logic, measurably improved team stability and an initial B2B2C pilot as the basis for further opening up the business model.

Managing Director at erlebe fernreisen: As Managing Director, I was responsible for a travel company with around €33m in revenue and 100 employees – with full operational and financial responsibility.

In the midst of the biggest travel crisis since the Second World War, I led the company through the onset of the COVID pandemic: rebuilding liquidity planning and cash-flow management, restructuring the business model and keeping the cost structure capable of acting – decisions under maximum pressure.

Result: a company stabilized in an existential market situation and an orderly handover despite the external shock – solid proof of crisis leadership at the top.
